We're online!

Our free tutoring services are currently online on free video communication platforms! This is accessible to many and is a necessary precaution we need to take for COVID-19. If online video calls are not easily accessible to you, please give us a call at 240-600-1726 or contact us and we will have to set up sessions in person after COVID-19 becomes less severe. Stay safe!

Our Mission

At the Oakwood Education Foundation, we are focused on bridging the educational gap. Underprivileged students are often unable to learn in their current learning environments due to may factors. That's why we want to help. We are providing free, accessible tutoring for students who deal with such circumstances and need further support outside of their schools. At the Oakwood Education Foundation, we believe that everyone deserves an equal chance to shine and that socioeconomic status or race should not be the determining factor for anyone.

Oakwood

The Oakwood Education Foundation is inspired by the Celtic Tree of Life. Originally known as the crann bethadh by the Ancient Celts, the Tree of Life was believed to hold magical powers to care for all life. Because of this, whenever the Ancient Celts created a new settlement, they would plant a large oak tree in the middle of their clearing in hope of protecting them all by providing them with shelter and food. This tree represented hope and knowledge and its composition, oak, represented strength. This is what we want to provide our students-strength, hope, and wisdom-so that they will have the courage to lead the life that they want.
Leave us your info and we will get back to you.
